Newfoundland and Labrador have the second highest rate of new COVID-19 cases reported in Canada, according to limited available data. Figures released by Health Canada on the Current Status Map show that Newfoundland and Labrador had the second highest daily incidence rate per 100,000 people at 539 last week, behind the Regions alone at 1,330. By comparison, the percentage in Ontario was 105, with Quebec at 159. Data from the maritime provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta and Nunavut are not currently available.
