A huge cloud of smoke appeared to be blowing in the air in the Derby Road area of the city near the various industrial units that stretch along the road. It is not yet known where the fire broke out or what operation may be involved, although reports say the fire is located in Rumenco on Derby Road. The company’s website states that it is a leading national and international supplier of high quality feed solutions. Social media is full of people who have seen the fire and the huge plumes of smoke this morning. A Derbyshire Live photographer and a Staffordshire Live reporter are on site. A witness from Horninglow, who also took some photos, said the smoke appeared to be coming from nearby Stafford Street, Staffordshire Live reported. He said: “My mother-in-law came to our house at 8am this morning and said ‘Did you see the smoke?’ It was black and you could really smell it. “The smoke was just coming out.” Derby Road is a major route to Burton from the A38 and is always busy during rush hour. Both Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue contacted Staffordshire Live for comment.
