Six people were killed and 12 others injured in a mass shooting in central Sacramento early Sunday, turning a busy part of downtown into a horrific crime scene with blood, shattered windows and grieving relatives. Police Chief Kathy Lester said there were no suspects in custody. Shortly before noon, police said they had found “at least one firearm” at the scene, but gave no details. Leicester said it was not immediately clear whether the victims were deliberately targeted or how many gunmen were involved. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a rally on K-Street, near a strip of nightclubs near Sacramento attractions such as the Golden 1 Center and the Capitol. Police said they were considering a quarrel or quarrel shortly before the shooting. “Right now our investigators are getting to the point,” Lester told reporters at the scene a few hours after the incident. “This is very preliminary.” The shooting – one of the worst in Sacramento history – took place shortly after 2 a.m., but details about the exact location of the incident have not been confirmed. The scene of the shooting was scattered in an area of two to four blocks, with broken windows and police markers on 10th Street from K to L, as police work on the scene. The police were also conducting a search on 12th and K. Family members, who had gathered around blocked roads, said the shootings erupted from quarrels that erupted as bars and clubs were left out overnight. Sacramento police said in a statement released shortly before noon that they were aware of a video on social media that “appears to show a clash that preceded the shooting.” “At the moment we are working to determine what, if any, these events have to do with the shooting.” A law enforcement source said authorities were investigating whether automatic weapons were involved and began studying downtown cameras and license plate readers for possible indications. Leicester called it “a truly tragic, unfortunate situation.” He described it as a “complex and complicated” scene that is now “safe”, but said that the department is seeking the help of the public to locate the suspect or suspects. “If anyone saw anything, has a video or can give any information to the police department, we ask for their help.” An information center has also been set up at the City Hall, 10th and I streets, for relatives. We know of a video on social media that seems to show a quarrel that preceded the shooting. “Hard to understand” shooting
The shooting comes just a month after a man shot dead his three daughters and a fourth man at a church in a Sacramento suburb before committing suicide. The death toll corresponds to the worst mass shootings in the United States this year, according to a team in Washington, DC, called the Archive Gun Violence. Six people were killed in incidents in Milwaukee and Corsican, Texas, according to the organization. Sunday’s violence also coincides with the worst mass shootings in Sacramento’s modern history – the Good Guys hostage drama that left six dead 31 years ago on Monday, and the 2001 incident in which Nikolay Soltys was assassinated. six members of his family because they thought he was being poisoned. Saltys was charged with seven counts of murder – including the murder of his wife’s unborn fetus. He later committed suicide in prison. Including the 10 people injured, Sunday’s incident appears to be the largest mass shooting in the city’s history.
Relatives are looking for loved ones in the city center

People were moving in downtown Sacramento, worrying about friends and relatives. Two men on the corner of 10th and J streets said they were trying to get information from police about a loved one who may have been the victim. They said his car was still parked at the Citizen Hotel, but they could not find him.
Pamela Harris and Leticia’s bride were standing on 9th and Kth Street in the early hours of Sunday, waiting to find out about Leticia’s husband, Sergio.
Sergio Harris had gone to a nightclub called London late Saturday at around 10 and K has not heard from him since. The family said they received a phone call early Sunday and came to the scene with activist Stevante Clark.
“We just want to know what happened to him,” said Pamela Harris, Sergio’s mother. “Knowing nothing is just hard to deal with,” said Pamela Harris.

“There are too many cursed weapons,” said Clark, who became famous after his brother Stephon was shot by police in March 2018.
A few minutes later, Pamela and Leticia Harris were led behind the police tape on 9th and K streets by a police officer, who began talking to them quietly. Suddenly Pamela Harris shouted and they started hugging each other. Clark confirmed to The Bee that Leticia’s husband had died.
Just meters away, Frank Turner said his 29-year-old son, DeVazia, was among the dead. Turner said his son was a regular in London. He expressed his frustration that he could not get information from the police.
City, state leaders share the grief
“Our city has a broken heart this morning,” said Mayor Darrell Steinberg, standing next to City Council members at a hastily convened outdoor press conference a block from the stage. “This is an absurd and unacceptable tragedy.” “Our community deserves better than that,” said City Councilwoman Katie Valenzuela, with tears streaming down her cheeks. Gov. Gavin Newsom and other state leaders were quick to point out the shooting, promising to do something to try to curb gun violence. “What we know at this point is that there has been another mass attack of victims, leaving families with lost loved ones, many injured and a community in grief. “The scourge of armed violence continues to be a crisis in our country and we must decide to put an end to this massacre,” Newsom said. Berry Accius community activist, who rushed to the area, described a horrific scene in the aftermath of the shootings. “I just saw victims, victims with blood everywhere running with glass on them,” he said. “Their loved ones are dying. It was turbulent. It was crazy. “Gun violence is a city problem, a city issue,” Accius said. “Old Sacramento, in the center of Sacramento …” People are supposed to go out, have fun. “ Hours earlier, thousands had gathered at the nearby Golden 1 Center for a performance by Grammy-winning rapper Tyler, the Creator. It was not known if any of the victims were present, but Steve Hicks, a Dublin resident who had brought his daughters to the show, said he woke up in his Citizen room to the sound of ambulances. …
