The incident was reported to Nottinghamshire police shortly after 10 p.m. Detectives said a 35-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 21-year-old was also injured in the hand and was taken to hospital. But police said the man’s injuries were not believed to have changed his life. Nottinghamshire Police Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy said: “The diversions have been clearly signaled, although we will urge drivers to avoid the area for the time being. “An investigation is currently underway to determine what exactly happened.
