The road is closed at junction 19 for Middleton and Manchester. According to the Inrix traffic alert service, the closure has been in place since around 4.30am. this morning (Monday). At the moment there are diversions in the inlet and outlet sliders. The nature of the police incident has not yet been confirmed. Greater Manchester police have contacted for more information. In a tweet, Highways England said: “The # M60 is closed in both directions inside the J19 near #Manchester due to a police-led incident. “Traffic is diverted through the exit and entry routes.” Follow our live blog below for the latest updates on this incident.
