Mike Kabeya, 24, of Owen Street, is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm, possession of cocaine with intent, possession of possession of cannabis and possession of criminal property.
The arrest warrant for his arrest was carried out as part of a drug investigation by GMP’s Operation Orion team, a spokesman said.

Mr Kabeya will appear in the Manchester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
Residents of Deansgate Towers were evacuated from their apartments yesterday for several hours as armed police and a bomb disposal unit assessed the scene. A 100-meter security warning was issued as they conducted their searches before the fence was lifted.
During a search of the apartment, police found a “possible explosive device”, which was later found to be a “large firework”.
