A 40-year-old man faces multiple charges of criminal harassment stemming from five different incidents between January 30 and March 23, Greater Sudbury police said. Police sought the help of the public to locate the driver of a vehicle involved in multiple suspicious incidents following complaints made by members of the community in the area of ​​Lasalle Avenue about a truck that was watching women. The investigation revealed that the same vehicle and the same man were involved in these incidents. He was arrested on April 1 and charged with five counts of criminal harassment – engaging in threatening conduct, three counts of criminal harassment – surveillance and five counts of committing an indecent act in a public place. As a result of the investigation, detectives requested and received a search warrant at his home. Police located and confiscated a bear knife, two energy weapons and a firearm. In addition, he was charged with unsafe possession of a firearm, and seven counts each for unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm for dangerous purposes.
