The 32-year-old man was pulled from the river near Victoria Quay late Friday night after emergency services were alerted to a person in danger in the water. According to a police statement: “West Mercia Police and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Officers rushed to the scene and located a 32-year-old man in the water. “He was taken by the fire and rescue service and then transported to the hospital by ambulance where he remains in critical condition. “Police remain at the scene while investigations continue.”
