Watch now: North Hanover Grille after fire on Friday morning

The man who survived a fire in a third-floor apartment above the North Hanover Grille restaurant in Carlisle last week has died. Keith Rodkey, 45, died of his injuries at 2:16 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Allentown on Sunday, the Lehigh County Medical Examiner’s Office said in a press release. LVH-Cedar Crest is a Level 1 Trauma Center that provides emergency services to burn victims. Rodkey’s death was caused by acute respiratory failure due to the toxicity of carbon monoxide from the fire that started in his apartment, the announcement said. The fire started around 4 a.m. Friday in the apartment near 4 E. Louther St. in Carlisle, and the cause is not known, although police and the Carlisle Fire Department are investigating Rodkey’s death, according to the announcement.
