When police responded to the home on Sable Chase Lane, they found 30-year-old Teante Jones shot dead. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Investigators learned that the suspect, 43-year-old Kenneth Southern, was trapped in the attic of the house. SWAT teams were called to negotiate with Southern, who refused to surrender. Southern shot himself later. MOVIE STORIES: On Thursday, Jones’s girlfriend, Mia Hodrick, helped mobilize dozens of Atlanta Jeep Life club members to search for Jones after she went missing. Said a neighbor Channel 2 Action News he was passing by when he heard the victim arguing with the suspect about the house. He said that when the man met the victim, he called 911, but the police never arrived. The neighbor said she walked past the house sometime after that call and saw that the jeep was gone “It was a Jeep when I first came, but when I came back it was not a Jeep there,” said the neighbor. On Saturday, Jeep Life members and Jones’s family returned home where they found her body and the Jeep.
