Rescuers tried desperately to save him but Mr Skrypniak died on the spot. Christopher Brownly-Otiede, 27, of Sorrell Close, was charged with murder on Friday. He will appear in custody in Bromley Court on Saturday.

Mr Skrypniak, who had a husband and son, arrived in the UK via Dover on 15 August to transport goods to a logistics company. He had parked at night on Hailey Road and was off duty when attacked. He is believed to have spoken to other truck drivers and bought some drinks before being attacked.
