The 20-year-old man from Milton Keynes was detained in Northern Ireland after the deadly knife of Joseph Tayye (21) on Monday. Police were called to a property outside The Hide, in the Netherfield area of Milton Keynes after reports that a man had stab wounds. He was taken to the scene and to Milton Keynes University Hospital, but died of his injuries on Tuesday. An autopsy on Friday reported that the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest. His relatives are now backed by specially trained officers. The suspect was arrested in Northern Ireland by the PSNI on Friday and was taken into custody by Thames Valley police on Sunday, who thanked the PSNI for his assistance. Two other men have been arrested in Northern Ireland on suspicion of aiding and abetting a perpetrator, with PSNI now investigating the alleged crimes. The young man’s death this week is now the fourth deadly knife in Milton Keynes in the last three months. Milton Keynes North Conservative MP Ben Everitt called for more. Commenting on Twitter, he said: “Enough is enough. I am pushing the UK Home Office and the Thames Valley Police for a much tougher response.” “If you carry a knife to Milton Keynes, you will have to wait for it to be locked.” Bletclay City Councilor Dr. Sherry Delfani said she had estimated that Milton Keynes stabbings had increased by 90% in the past two years with ten fatal stabbings reported. He also expressed concern that the failure to invest in police numbers and the cuts in CCTV coverage made the issue more difficult to address.
