Google Docs style suggestions are just one of the many new features

Google says it will now give you suggestions for word selection, concise, concise language, active voice, and even warn you about using inappropriate words. These are all features you can find in third-party services like Grammarly, many of which you can easily integrate with Google Docs. However, if Google were to be able to provide a service equal to or better than Grammarly, it would make access to the features much easier. This is because services like Grammarly now require you to create an account and install the add-on in your browser. Additionally, some of the options offered with Google Docs style suggestions are only available in premium third-party services. So, in a way, the Google version will be a little more comprehensive, as they are all enabled for free. Google is constantly adding new features to its Workspace system.

How to see these new proposals

However, it will be enabled by default. When editing a document in Google Docs, users will see style suggestions highlighted with a purple scratch line. If you interact with the twisted line, Google Docs will provide an explanation of what they suggest and why. Again, sentences can include anything from changing a sentence to an active voice or even highlighting words it may not include. The company shared an example where such a comprehensive proposal included the correction of the word “president” to “president”. It’s interesting to see Google add this kind of feature, especially since apps like Grammarly have gained so much power in recent years. And to be honest, as Google Docs continues to grow and evolve, more and more users are likely to switch to the web processor. Not only because it is free, but also because of the possibilities it offers.
