Thibodeaux went down after being cut-blocked by Bengals’ Thaddeus Moss in the second quarter. He immediately grabbed his right knee. The cart went out for Thibodeau, but he got up and went right past him. The rookie entered the blue medical tent before emerging with a smile and a few laughs. He walked the length of the sideline before walking in with a coach. Thibodeau was the fifth overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of the University of Oregon. He has been having a strong summer and was under pressure for fourth earlier in Sunday’s race. The Giants expect big things from Thibodeaux this season. He has been working with the first string defense since the start of OTAs in the spring. Thibodeau had 19.0 sacks in 30 career games at Oregon. He went into last season as the likely No. 1 overall prospect in college football.
