Police were initially called for the incident around 1:10 p.m. March 10 at Block Line Road and Homer Watson Boulevard. Officials say a young man was approached by a group of young people, attacked and taken to hospital with serious injuries. In a statement released on Sunday, police said they had arrested nine people, ranging in age from 15 to 19. The group of nine is under attack, causing upheaval and disorder under $ 5,000. Three of the youths also face charges of blackmail. Waterloo District Police expect more charges to be filed as they continue their investigation.
