According to a recent report, the UK-based smartphone company has announced that it will roll out the Android 13 update to its maiden smartphone sometime in the first half of 2023. Nothing has claimed that the delay is because the company needs to make some adjustments to the software experience before making it available on smartphones. Since the release of the Nothing phone (1), the brand has been rolling out several updates, however, these are mostly related to improving the overall user experience. The development came to light after Android Authority, a leading tech portal announced the delay in one of its reports. “We are always working hard to improve the user experience of Phone 1. As for Android 13, this will be released for Nothing Phone 1 users in the first half of 2023. Before the launch, we want to optimize the software upgrade with the hardware of Nothing. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with more information,” Nothing reported from Android Authority. Users of the phone (1) won’t get software updates towards the end of the year, but those will mostly be released by the company. The brand recently released the Nothing OS version 1.1.3 update which comes with a host of features including camera improvements and performance optimizations.
