On Friday, the representative of RCMP Cpl. Chris Marshall said the incident happened on the Wineberry Way in Upper Sackville. “At 2:30 a.m. (Friday) at noon, the Halifax RCMP was sent to report a Nova Scotia Power employee believed to have received an electric shock,” Marshall said shortly before 4 p.m. “I understand that the person in charge of the line was transported to the hospital by ambulance and where there does not seem to be anything criminal at the moment, at this stage the investigation will be assigned to the Ministry of Labor (Skills and Immigration). “Marshall said on Friday. In a statement issued after 9pm on Friday night, Peter Gregg, President & CEO of NS Power, said they were devastated by the loss of one of the power line technicians. “On behalf of the entire team, we extend our sincere condolences to the family of our colleague,” Greg said in a statement. “Security is our number one priority and the loss of a team member is disastrous for our entire organization. We are working closely with the Ministry of Labor.”
