OJ Simpson apparently sees himself a little behind Will Smith after his slap in the face for the Oscars – saying he too wanted to get his hands on people when he was in the spotlight. The juice was heard throughout the epic, and its main dedication is in its Twitter caption … “He was wrong, but I understand the feeling.” In the video, he explains … explaining, yes, Will made a mistake – but he likes it a bit. Play ABC video content Take a look … OJ says he also went through a lot of “stuff” and on the other hand – probably in connection with his acquittal in the ’90s – was often the joke. He does not specify how he felt about these “OJ routines”, saying that he wanted to “hit” at least some of these comedians – but acknowledges that he restrained himself, almost creating the contrast between him and Will … which for many is the absolute irony. Bottom line … OJ stands up for Chris Rock here, saying it’s a comedy – and no matter how it makes you feel, you (and Will by extension) have to accept it. Now, here’s the kick … OJ thinks that if he did the same trick after his arrest / sentencing in Las Vegas – he thinks he would have been sentenced to life without the possibility of release, seemingly pointing out that Will will get a pass because it’s Will Smith. There may, in fact, be a parallel between giving one the advantage of doubt as it relates to the story of OJ and Will – although, in fact, they are not comparable – but Mr Simpson’s hypothesis seems defective … there are many reasons why OJ would not have been well received if he had slapped someone after his acquittal. Vegas would probably have little to do with it.
