The police are on the scene of a shot in the 300 square of Monticello Avenue after a call that came at 6:25 pm
A man was pronounced dead at the scene and two other women were taken to Sentara General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Norfolk Boone Police Chief.
Police initially said she was a woman who was pronounced dead, however, Chief Boone corrected the announcement at a press conference.
Boone says the shooting came from a money dispute and believes the victim and the suspect are related.

Some mall salespeople tell us that MacArthur was in lockdown. A Dillard associate tells News 3 that they were told to lock up and go to the first level of their store.
Many roads in the area are currently blocked as police conduct investigations. Police say to avoid the area.
This shooting comes two weeks after the deadly five-shot shot on Granby Street.
