It’s rare to see an Android flagship selling for $ 899 and for several months Google’s Pixel 6 Pro stood out as somewhat unique in this area, but now the OnePlus 10 Pro has arrived as a challenger. OnePlus has long had the line of offering advanced features at an affordable price and the latest model is true to this strategy, making it an exciting match. The Pixel 6 Pro is a revolutionary product for Google and the company recognizes it by claiming that this is the first phone exclusively from Google. Although the Pixel brand was released in 2016, after Google’s Nexus phones first launched in 2010, this is indeed Google’s first phone. The difference with the Pixel 6 series is that Google built this phone up to the silicon chip that powers it, Google’s Tensor processor. THE SCREEN VIDEO OF THE DAY With the recent introduction of the OnePlus 10 Pro, the Pixel 6 Pro has a new low-cost competitor. These are great 6.7 inch phones with attractive prices and choosing between them will not be easy. Both have three rear cameras, with Google offering higher resolution, four times the 48-megapixel optical zoom, compared to the OnePlus 8-megapixel 3.3-megapixel camera. OnePlus easily wins in the over-the-top camera category with a 50 megapixel sensor with a huge 150-degree field of view. By comparison, Google’s 12-megapixel ultra-wide is relatively narrow, extending just 114 degrees, the Pixel 6 Pro’s only weakness in terms of photography. The main cameras fit closely with 48 and 50 megapixel cameras for the OnePlus 10 Pro and Pixel 6 Pro, respectively. While this may seem like a pretty close match on paper, early critics have found that the OnePlus 10 Pro takes good but not great photos. Since photography is Google’s special strength, it’s no surprise that the Pixel 6 Pro has an edge in this area.
OnePlus 10 Pro Vs. Pixel 6 Pro
There’s more to a smartphone than just cameras, and OnePlus packs impressive hardware in the 10 Pro, starting with the fast Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor that powers this device. OnePlus, with a slightly better benchmark ranking than Google’s Tensor chip and great graphics performance, will offer a better gaming experience. However, Google Tensor does not lag far behind Qualcomm technology in everyday use and may not be a significant difference for most phone games. This is similar to what Samsung Galaxy S22 users have noticed in the Exynos 2200 version. Almost equal performance from the CPU but slower GPU. Speaking of Samsung’s latest flagship, the S22 has a much smaller screen and costs $ 799, while the S22 + starts at $ 999, which is why they were not included in this comparison.
Both phones offer 5G and Google seems to have overcome some initial connectivity issues with recent updates. The two phones fit closely with similar display technology and build quality. The OnePlus 10 Pro also matches the 5000 mAh battery of the Pixel 6 Pro precisely, but it charges much faster. The included 65 watt charger is ideal for fast running phones. However, the Pixel 6 Pro can reach half charge in just 30 minutes, which is very fast for most users. The OnePlus 10 Pro is absolutely a great phone at a reasonable price. However, the pure Android experience, the refined flow and the consistently stunning photo give the Pixel 6 Pro the overall victory.
