Live photos of the OnePlus Nord Buds made their way through the FCC this week, according to MySmartPrice. The images, from what we can say, have been removed from the list. The design shown in the minimal images matches almost identically to previous CAD-based renderings by @OnLeaks. The design of the buds themselves is definitely unique compared to the rest of the OnePlus series. Where the OnePlus Buds, Buds Pro and Buds Z series have almost all been adopted in a design similar to Apple AirPods, the Nord Buds seem to follow a different path with a headset extending over a flat area. The case also loses the curvature of other OnePlus headphones in exchange for a flatter look. In the FCC photos, we can see that the buds are accompanied by a red charging cable, in contrast to the black and gold color of the buds and their case. The registration also confirms the model number E505A. There is not much to concentrate on these headphones based on just their photos, but it seems very likely that they will end up with a budget-focused product. Ultimately, the Nord smartphone line is OnePlus’s budget market reach. A specific release date is unknown for this product, but the move by the FCC is definitely a strong indication that it is not too far away and that the product will most likely be available in the US.
