LOUIS – Two young cousins made a live broadcast from a St. Louis apartment when one child fatally shot the other before committing suicide in a tragic accident as family members say. Police are continuing to investigate Friday’s incident in which a 12-year-old girl, Paris Harvey, shot a 14-year-old boy, Cuarρόνn Harvey, before shooting himself. Police initially described it as suicide. The girl’s grandmother, Susan Dyson, told St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he saw the video on Instagram Live made by the two cousins together in an apartment in downtown St. Louis that the family had rented to celebrate March’s birthday. “It was not a situation where they were arguing or anything like that,” said Dyson, who is from the Dallas area. “They were playing with the gun when they should not have. Of course, they should not have done it. I think it just went out. It went out by mistake.” Family members said the cousins had grown up nearby. Cuarρόνn’s mother and Paris’s father are brothers. Paris and Cuarρόνn were alone in a bathroom making a video in the mirror before the shooting. Family members said that after Cuarρόνn was shot, the video showed Paris holding a gun and may have accidentally fallen again. They said they believed the weapon belonged to Cuarρόνn. Both children were shot in the head. “It was not a murder. It was not suicide, “said Shinise Harvey, 35, a mother in Paris. “It was a horrible accident. It happened. “ Harvey said she had not seen the video, but her family members did. He said the cousins ”were trying to be very hip”. Paris and Cuaron Harvey were often together making videos and making jokes. The family members said that Paris, who was one of the nine children, was a funny seventh grader who liked to fix her hair and nails and had a beautiful voice. They described Cuarρόνn as a stupid eighth grader who had long been able to turn things around.
