Now, experts and witnesses are talking about what happened. The free fall walk in ICON Park in Orlando remains closed as investigators continue to search for answers about the death of Tyre Samson. “The focus of our investigation will be on staff training on the ground, which may not have secured Tire before takeoff,” said Bob Hilliard, the Sampson’s lawyer. Investigators have not determined what caused Sampson to fall from the ride, but in the viral video showing Sampson falling, which is very graphic to see, workers are heard moments after the discussion about safety measures. Hilliard spoke to WKMG about legal action being taken to find out who was responsible for the death of the 14-year-old boy. There should be absolutely no way to get off the ground if there is any indication that one of the passengers is unsafe,” Hilliard said. The company that runs the route said employees are responsible for controlling the lights in the restraint system to ensure they are properly secured. “The route will not go up if these straps are not locked. There was no indication that there was anything different,” John Stine told the Slingshot Group. The route underwent a security inspection in December before being allowed to open, according to a security inspection report.
