But while most of the Oscar-winning guests hit the ball outside the park when it came to their choices for the entire night, there were – as always – several attendees who completely lost the mark on their clothes.
This year’s red carpet, which started an hour earlier than usual, four hours before the ceremony, had a number of early arrivals, with Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Lee Curtis and Laverne Cox among the first elegant tone for the evening.
However, among the fashion hits were some catastrophic failures, with Jada Pinkett Smith, Kristen Stewart, Maggie Gyllenhaal and singer sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey all having some serious style flaws.
Jada topped the list of worst-dressed stars at the 94th Academy Awards in a massive metallic green dress that contained a huge upset train that made her look like she was dragging a giant lettuce behind her.
This year’s Oscar red carpet did not fail to offer viewers many unforgettable moments of style, good and bad, with Jada Pinkett Smith leading the list of the worst dressed stars with her huge metallic green dress.
The actress’s inflatable green dress took up a lot of space on the red carpet and thanks to its strange texture, it ended up looking like Jada was dragging a huge lettuce head behind her.

Singer Chloe (right) and Halle (left) Bailey were also among the worst dressed stars at the glamorous event
Chloe’s dress left a lot to be desired, while the shiny purple material gave it an incredibly sticky feel.
Maggie Gyllenhaal also suffered a fashion failure in her structured dress, which had three-dimensional gold details on the front that made her look like she was wearing a lot of door knockers.
The 50-year-old nailed the glamor with her elegant make-up, however it was almost impossible to see the exaggerated design of the dress, which had a high collar and a form, a long-sleeved embossed bodice that then came out in a huge skirt and train.
Singer Billie Eilish also chose a very fluffy number in the form of a strapless black toilet that contained a layer upon layer of black fabric, leaving the singer completely dwarf in the material.
In fact, the 20-year-old was so overwhelmed by ruffles that her hands were almost completely hidden from view as she descended the red carpet.
The ruffles were also a theme for Caitriona Balfe, whose black and white dress looked wrinkled and, thanks to the long ruffle train running behind her, looked like a long crumpled tissue.
At the opposite end of the spectrum was Kristen Stewart, who left absolutely nothing to the imagination with tiny black pants, which she wore with a white shirt that was completely unbuttoned to the waist. Add a black blazer and heels to complete her minimal look.

Just like Aphrodite, Tracee Ellis Ross was on the list of the worst dressed thanks to the breasts that were not in her dress.
Plenty of flashing skin became something of a nightmare, with singer sisters Halle and Chloe joining Kristen to flash a serious amount of flesh on the red carpet.
Both brothers chose incredibly dangerous numbers. Chloe’s older sister wore a metallic purple one-shoulder dress that had a slit down to her chest, leaving one leg completely bare – and put her in serious danger of blinking too much for the cameras.
Halle, meanwhile, seemed to be inspired by her upcoming role as The Little Mermaid as a whole, a glamorous turquoise dress that consisted of a bra tucked into a long skirt that also had a loose slit, leaving her stomach uncovered.
Venus Williams also dared, who shone with a huge neckline in her deep white dress – as Tracee Ellis Ross in her bold red dress.
Like Tracee, actress Niecy Nash risked an accident on the red carpet in her fancy pink dress, which had a crazy tear that reached up to her crotch.
Pink was an unlucky color on Sunday night, with Colombian actress Carolina Gaitán also throwing the style ball in her voluminous dress, which had comically long sleeves.
Swedish makeup artist Eva Von Bahr made a unique choice with her dress, which had a renaissance style design and was combined with a strange statue-style bag.
Warren and Parent accessories have been removed from their sets, leaving them looking sticky rather than high quality
Actress Niecy Nash was another star who risked an accident on the red carpet with her bright neon pink dress, which had a very dangerous tear that reached up to her crotch.
Pink turned out to be an unfortunate color for another actress, Colombian starlet Carolina Gaitán, who wore an almost comically voluminous dress that completely covered her petite frame.
There were also many very strange accessories worn on the red carpet at the Oscars, with makeup artist Eva Von Bahr wearing a quirky bag that looked like the head of a statue – no doubt inspired by her equally bizarre Renaissance-style dress.
Diane Warren also chose a bold one that became a destructive wallet in the form of a colorful retro-shaped clutch.

British makeup artist Julia Vernon looked like she was getting ready to go to a concert or a bar with her thick boots, leather leggings and bulky top, not a glamorous red carpet event
Both Renate Reinsve and Rickey Thompson could very well have made their own clothes at home, with the latter looking like he had shot with hot glue a lot of Christmas decorations as a whole.
