Ottawa police announced Friday night that Isaiah Kiljabane from Ottawa is wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Sahur Yare. “Kiljabane is currently free from the William E. Hay Center and his whereabouts are unknown,” police said in a statement. “Police believe Kiljabane has access to firearms and should be considered armed and dangerous.” The William E. Hay Center is located in Ottawa. Yare died Feb. 21 after being left at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus with injuries. Police say the woman did not respond when she arrived at the hospital. “The vehicle that took her to the hospital left the scene, but was spotted by police nearby,” police said. On March 1, police said a vehicle of interest was recorded on surveillance video in the St. Louis area. Laurent Boulevard, Walkely Road and Conroy Road around 5:45 p.m. on the day of the homicide (February 21). “Police believe the victim was killed shortly afterwards on Johnston Road and Pennard Way,” police said at the time. Kiljabane is described as a 5’9 ‘, 130 pound, slender build with dark curly hair collar length and wears glasses occasionally. Police say a judge gave permission to publish a photo of the suspect for five days, as he is a young perpetrator.
