World leaders have continued to condemn civilian deaths as Ukrainian forces liberate more cities and expose the real horrors of war. The following are the latest developments in the war in Ukraine: Free Red Cross workers: Free workers of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), who were initially arrested on Russian soil while trying to evacuate desperate residents of Mariupol, have been released, according to Ukrainian Vice President Iresh. An evacuation of seven buses accompanied by the ICC took place in Manhush, a Russian-controlled city west of Mariupol, on Monday, but were released later that night. “Difficult” situation in Luhansk region: “Difficult” is the situation in the Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine amid heavy Russian bombing, according to Serhiy Haidai, head of the Luhansk regional military administration. It comes as the Russian military says it is shifting its focus to the eastern Donbass region following the withdrawal of troops from Kyiv and northern Ukraine. Zelensky on Russia talks: Ukrainian leader Zelensky has questioned a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin after accusing Russia of genocide. Zelensky visited the Kiev suburb of Bukha on Monday, an area where shocking images of civilian bodies strewn across the streets surfaced over the weekend. A meeting could take place if Russia “carried all the punishments” of the genocide, Zelensky said. Satellite imagery undermines Russia’s claims: New satellite imagery by Maxar Technologies shows the bodies of dead civilians in Bucha were on the road for weeks, even when the city was under Russian control. Moscow claimed the footage from Bucha was “fake”, but the new photos show objects on Yablunska Street matching the exact locations where corpses are seen on the street in the video. CNN team witnesses body removal: Ukrainian officials showed the international media the removal of five bodies from a basement in Bucha. A CNN team visited the basement before removing it and saw the corpses, which were in an advanced stage of decomposition. Five men were tortured and executed by Russian soldiers, an adviser to Ukrainian Interior Minister Anton Gerastshenko told CNN on the spot. CNN can not independently verify Gerashchenko’s allegations.
