Police were called by ambulance to a home on Chipperfield Drive in Kingswood around 8:20 p.m. Friday after a 22-year-old was seriously injured. He was taken to hospital but died early today. A 23-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident and is currently in custody. Police say the man and woman knew each other. An autopsy-necropsy will now be performed to determine the exact causes of death. Avon and Somerset Senior Police Investigator DI Ben Lavender said: “This is a catastrophic incident in which a man lost his life and now a thorough investigation will be carried out to find out what happened. An arrest has been made and we can confirm that the victim and the person arrested were known to each other. “There will be a constant police presence at the scene as our investigations continue. “We will also increase patrols in the area to support and reassure the local community, so that neighborhood officers can respond to any concerns or concerns.” Officers ask anyone who has any information that could help the investigation to contact them at 101 and give the call operator the reference number 5222071378.
