Photo: Contributed Police are looking to talk to a man and a woman after an early morning incident in Brocklehurst that left two dogs dead. The Mounties were called around 5 a.m. in an area near Ord Road and McLean Street for a collision report. Investigators believe a black Dodge truck collided with two dogs that had escaped from a nearby yard. “According to the report, the driver of the truck allegedly stopped for a while, shouted at the attendees and then commented that he had to get to the airport before continuing west,” RCMP Const. said Crystal Evelyn in a press release. Evelyn said police patrolled the area but found no signs of the truck. “Although no license plate was obtained, we hope that someone from the area will have videotaped the truck, which will help police locate and contact the driver as part of the investigation,” he said. According to Evelyn, the Mounties are asking the driver and the passenger of the truck to contact the police as soon as possible. The driver is described as a white man, about 30 years old with dull hair and a slender body. The co-driver was a thin woman with long hair, wearing a dark three-quarter length jacket and leggings. Anyone with information can call the police at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
