Royal expert Angela Mollard has warned the Duke of Sussex that royal fans will be “outraged” if he attends the star-studded awards ceremony. Speaking on the Australian morning show Sunrise, Mollard said: “There is a lot of talk that it is going to go ahead, but you can really show up and stand on stage at the Oscars and not show up for your grandfather’s memorial service. “I have a problem with that. “You do all the glory and handshakes with celebrities but with your own family.” The presenter of the program Kylie Gillies intervened: “What is he thinking, why not be there for your grandfather’s memorial. “Leave Megan at the Oscars.” Molard added that if Harry attended the Oscars, “there would be anger.”
