Golfers Raise $25,000 for Easter Seals During Clubs for Campers Charity Golf Tournament at Black Mountain Golf Club A downpour didn’t stop the second annual Clubs for Campers charity golf tournament in support of Easter Seals at Black Mountain Golf Club. Participants raised $25,000 for Easter Seals Camp Winfield in Lake Country and Easter Seals House. “Our realtors Century 21 Assurance Realty, in Kelowna, were proud to be the presenting sponsor once again for the Easter Seals Clubs for Campers Golf Tournament,” said Anna Carbone, of Century 21 Assurance Realty Realtors. “We recognize the important work and support that Easter Seals provides to families in our communities and are thrilled to be able to support such a great cause,” added Carbone. “After a successful first year for Clubs for Campers in 2021, we really wanted to see growth for this event so we knew we could make an impact year after year and we were thrilled with the results,” said Michelle Community Engagement Manager of Easter Seals. Webber. “The excitement and enthusiasm of everyone involved in the tournament, despite the pouring rain, really showed us that we are an organization that people and businesses believe in. We want to thank everyone who came out and supported Easter Seals. It was a great day and we are already looking forward to hosting our third tournament next July.” Camp Winfield offers specialized weekly summer camps for children, youth and adults with disabilities and their families from Kelowna and the South Okanagan. Funds will also support Easter Seals House, which provides an affordable home away from home for Kelowna residents with health challenges who must travel to Vancouver for medical treatments. The next big fundraiser for Easter Seals in the Okanagan is the Drop Zone on September 20th. ???More than 50 people will occupy 23 floors below the Landmark 6 Office Tower in Kelowna’s Landmark District.
