At a private funeral for Prince Philip, Prince Andrew was described as “straight through the squares” to appear “in front of the cameras”. In the aftermath of the funeral, he was one of the first members of the royal family to appear on camera, also speaking after facing allegations of sexual abuse. He said the United Kingdom had lost the “grandfather of the nation”. The prince paid 12 12 million to avoid going to court to testify in a sexual abuse case against him by Virginia Giuffre.
