The 43-inch panel on The Frame TV is a 4K QLED HDR display. While 4K is almost equivalent to the course at this point, HDR provides greater color depth. In addition, the QLED display allows the monitor to stay lit for extended periods without the risk of burning that you can see with OLED monitors. Just note that, unlike most larger models that support a 120 Hz refresh rate, the 43-inch model is limited to just 60 Hz. It is also worth noting that while the screen supports HDR, it lacks any type of local dimming technology such as Dolby Vision. The biggest difference with this newer model is Samsung’s new “Matte Screen”, which drastically changes the way the screen absorbs and reacts to light. The result is an image that looks more like a real painting you will find in a museum. This feature finally gives the latest model of The Frame TV a look that is extremely difficult to distinguish from a real work of art. While you are definitely welcome to present works from your own collection, Samsung also has an online art store with over 2,000 pieces. They range from old techniques to modern photography and everything can be downloaded directly to your Frame TV.
2022 Samsung The Frame TV (43 inches)
The latest model of Samsung’s aesthetically pleasing TV retains the same live QLED display as its predecessor, but uses a new low-reflection anti-glare coating called “Matte Display”, which provides images with properties that look like real canvas.
