This is the terrifying moment a small plane crashes on a Florida highway and then skids onto a road after a pilot misjudged its fuel level.
Remy Colin was the only person on board and miraculously escaped with only minor injuries after the dramatic crash in Orlando.
The crash happened just before 4 p.m. Friday, as video shows the shocking collision on the busy road at University Boulevard and North Econlockhatchee Trail.
Colin, according to his LinkedIn page, has run a company called Aerial Messages since 1999, which: “Offers a wide range of aerial advertising solutions including banners, billboards, sky writing, airships and more” .
A video of the crash, taken by a bystander, showed the moment the plane crashed, which the Florida Highway Patrol said was due to mechanical failure.

Colin said he was distracted because he had to try to fix the plane’s broken radio and had also run out of fuel and lost power.
Seeing nowhere else to land, he tried to land on the street to try and avoid injuring anyone, knowing that the plane was probably made for that.
Colin, the only person on board, suffered only minor bruising, but flying without proper fuel could see his license suspended.
A bystander told WESH they thought it was a car accident until they looked over their fence and saw a plane sitting in a road.
Amanda Skuban, who filmed the accident, was on her way to CostCo and “kind of freaked out.”
