“It is with great sadness and grief that I announce that Estelle Harris has died this afternoon at 6:25 p.m.,” Glenn Harris, Glenn Harris, told Deadline, who held her as she breathed her last. “Her kindness, passion, sensitivity, humor, empathy and love were practically unrivaled and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.” Born in New York on April 22, 1928, Harris appeared in 27 episodes of Seinfeld between 1992 and 1998. Harris is also known for Ms. Patatokefalou’s expression in three installments of the Pixar Toy Story franchise (2, 3 and 4) and a series of extra shorts. Other movie titles included Promoted, CBGB, Playing Mona Lisa, Dancing in September, What’s Cooking ?, Lost & Found, My Giant, The Odd Couple II, Chairman of the Board, Out to Sea, Downhill Willie, Perfect Alibi, This Is My Life, Stand and Deliver, Once Upon a Time in America, Summerdog and Looking Up. With comic gifts and a unique voice, Harris was once known on Madison Avenue as the “Queen of Trademarks”, as he was known to close up to 25 TV spots in a single year. “Her passion was her job,” said Glenn Harris, “and her job was her passion.” Harris has a total of three children, as well as three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Plans for a monument have not been revealed.
