Crews were called to the 1200 block of Linden Avenue after reports of a woman shot around 12 p.m., according to initial emergency scanner traffic. According to Sergeant Derek Smith with the Springfield Police Department, police responded to a woman who suffered a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead.
OSHP: 1 dead after two vehicle crash in Wilmington Naveya Strickland, the victim’s sister, told News Center 7’s Kayla McDermott that her sister was amazing. “You could call her any time of the night, and she was always there,” Strickland said.
Friends and family told us the victim was a fantastic mother to her four children. Further information was not available. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office said it had no additional information.
