The Ottawa Fire Department (OFS) said they were called to the scene at Carp Airport shortly before 1 p.m. “(OFS) was at the scene at 13:07, there was no visible smoke or fire. There was no fuel leak,” the fire department wrote on Twitter. Pictures from the spot show the black and yellow plane landing in a field, but it remained intact. In a statement, OFS said the two passengers had already walked back to one of the main airport buildings until the crews arrived. Ottawa rescuers told CTV News Ottawa they were not injured and did not have to go to the hospital. One person is believed to be in his late 20s and the other in his 70s, paramedics said. OFS said firefighters cleared the area shortly before 1:30 p.m. What caused the pilot to land in the field is unknown.
