Two soldiers in Ukraine, to whom a support group in Kelowna was sending supplies, were killed in Kyiv. A member of the Kelowna Stands with Ukraine team, Danylo Sora, posted on his Facebook page, “Last night we lost two defenders to whom I sent our last bags … On the hood of the fully shot truck, you can see our belongings… Pray. for their souls. ” The photos posted by Sora show a box of items and a sign that reads “Kelowna stands with Ukraine” sitting on the hood of a truck with visible bullet holes. Dennis Storozuk, another member of the group, said the two soldiers were killed when they were ambushed by Russian forces. He says the Kelowna Stands with Ukraine team was sending supplies to the two soldiers. Storozhuk said friends in Ukraine found the soldiers and alerted him last night.
