After launching the Nord brand with its mid-range phones, OnePlus is apparently trying to expand it to include TWS headsets and smartwatches. The company has already dipped its fingers into the cheap wireless headset pool with the Buds Z series and may now want to grow further in it with an extension to the Nord series. Renders leaked more than a month ago revealed that OnePlus was working on premium, sleek Nord-branded headphones. Traffic seems to be approaching, as they have now been spotted going through the FCC and India BIS certification databases, revealing their final design and specifications. The FCC registration, identified by 91Mobiles, confirms that the buds will bear the E505A model number and should be named “OnePlus Nord Buds”. It also informs us that each handset will have a 41mAh and 480mAh battery in the charging case itself. Although the photos from the test here are not exactly the most beautiful, they give us a general idea of what to expect from the upcoming headphones. The ANDROIDPOLICE VIDEO OF THE DAY Compared to existing OnePlus offerings, the Nord Buds could have a more compact design with a sleeker rectangular profile. The edges of the ear look slightly angled in these photos, which could help passively block out ambient noise. As for the charging case, it has a semi-rectangular shape with the OnePlus logo on the top. The Indian BIS certification list does not add anything new about the headphones and only serves as proof that OnePlus intends to launch the Nord headphones in the country sometime in the near future – the company has many products in the pipeline for this spring. Assuming the OnePlus adheres to the Nord formula, we expect the headphones to be priced lower than the current Buds Z series, which retails for $ 99 in the US.
