As part of the Competitive Play Trailer, a new Pokémon was revealed, Cyclizar, another lizard x motorcycle pocket monster that almost certainly has something to do with this generation’s legendary Dragon/Normal type Koraidon and Miraidon. It appears to have a move called Shed Tail, which allows Cyclizar to retreat and send out another Pokémon, but with a substitute in its place. There are also a few new items, the first of which is the Mirror Herb, a potential one-use item that copies the opponent’s stats that increases when consumed. Also revealed was the Loaded Dice item, which can increase the chances of a multi-hit move hitting more times than usual. A new move was also introduced, Tera Blast, which is quite similar to competitive-favorite Hidden Power. Depending on the type your Pokémon is when Terastallized, the move will have the same type.’ The next big set for the Pokémon TCG was also teased, revealing that Koraidon and Miraidon are coming to the trading card game. A new feature called EX was revealed and a big theme of the new set is “returns”. Terastallizing was also teased for the TCG, although no details were given on how it would work. The name of Scarlet and Violet’s region was revealed earlier this month, Paldea, as well as the fact that the game will officially launch on November 18th. It also showed off the new Terastallizing feature, the latest trick to come in the series that boosts Pokémon’s stats, with some Pokémon also able to change their typing. It was also revealed that the game will feature three main stories, one of which is the traditional gym challenge, but the other two have yet to be revealed.
