Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected with localized downpours, but they will likely remain light. The cooler air setup aloft also increases the risk of gutter activity for parts of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Storms that develop over these lakes have the potential to create water resources during daylight hours. Isolated storms will continue into Tuesday. Although daytime temperatures will continue to be about seasonally cloudy and above average through Monday, overnight temperatures will continue to be well above normal for this time of year. High temperatures within a few degrees of the season are expected by the middle of this week. There will also be a chance for another spell of active weather later this week during the last few days of August.
