Three Dead After Lake Shore Boulevard Crash In Toronto

Toronto police said the crash occurred on Lake Shore Boulevard West and Superior Avenue in Mimico shortly after 5:30 p.m.
Insp.  Kathleen Sheremetkovsky said a white SUV was traveling east on Lake Shore Boulevard at high speed when it passed a red light and hit two pedestrians crossing the intersection before colliding with a parked truck on a flat surface.
When emergency crews arrived, they found passers-by rescuing the driver and the two pedestrians who were without vital signs.
Police and paramedics took over, but all three were later found dead, Sheremetkovsky said.
“We are looking for members of the public who may have been in the area, if they have a dashboard camera, if they have video, to provide this information to the traffic services,” he said.
Roads in the area have been closed as police conduct investigations.
