“From the moment I met you, I knew this would be a special chapter in my life. I was right. We did everything together, some amazing things, some outrageous things. I am so proud of what we have achieved as comrades and brothers.

The tragic news of Tom’s death was confirmed by his wife Kelsey, whom he leaves behind with their two children, Aurelia and Bodhi.
Kelsey said: “It is with a heavy heart that we confirm that Tom died peacefully earlier today with all his family at his side.

He continued by thanking all those who cared for Tom during his illness, adding that he fought the illness to the end.
Just last month, Tom announced that he had written a book, Hope: My Inspirational Journey, about “going on against all odds.” It will be published in July.
Following the announcement of his death, the band released a joint tribute to the star, while on Thursday, Siva shared his own message.
Shiva posted a video of The Wanted teammates hugging on stage with the caption “We will always be there for you bro”, 24 hours after Tom died with his teammates at his side.

Siva took over Tom’s vocals at Gold Forever, while Nathan Sykes stayed by his side before Max George and Jay McGuinness joined him for the second song.
The band wore sunglasses in solidarity with Tom, who chose to wear shadows in public during his last appearances, after his eyes were forced to close due to a tumor in his brain.
Tom Kelsey’s wife was in the audience for the concert, proudly sharing footage of herself dancing with the couple’s two young children while Tom was on stage.

While struggling with chemotherapy and treatment, Tom campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness of his cancer in hopes of helping others.
In September 2021, 11 months after his diagnosis, Tom sang at the Stand Up 2 Cancer show at the Royal Albert Hall and even embarked on a Greatest Hits tour with his teammates when the tumor was confirmed to be “stable” in November.
But Tom’s condition quickly deteriorated when the tour ended earlier this year.
