The victims, both 30-year-old men, were hit near Clark and Beaubien streets around 4:05 p.m. and were taken to hospital, police say. A 36-year-old man is in critical condition but stable, according to Montreal Police (SPVM). The other victim, 38, was also injured, but has since been released from care. Montreal police say the driver, a 34-year-old man, was arrested and appeared in court via teleconference before 9:15 p.m. No charges have been filed yet, though he faces charges of armed or aggravated assault, according to police. “The car is considered a weapon,” Manuel Couture police spokesman Manuel Couture told CTV. The three men allegedly knew each other. Police have not yet determined the alleged motives.
