The Defense Ministry intelligence unit said in a Facebook post on Saturday that citizens in Kharkov baked poisoned cakes for the troops of the 3rd Motorized Rifle Division of Russia. Two Russian soldiers died after eating the food and another 28 were taken to the intensive care unit, the agency said.
The condition of the hospitalized soldiers remains unclear.
“The Ukrainians are resisting the occupiers by all means available,” the agency said.

The agency also said that about 500 more soldiers were being treated at the hospital suffering from severe alcohol poisoning of “unknown origin” and that the Russian administration was describing the cases as “non-combat casualties”.
The reported poisonings come after Ukrainian officials said civilians had been executed and buried in mass graves in Bhutan, officials said.
Reports of Russian casualties in Ukraine vary widely, with Russia reporting about 1,400 deaths, and Western intelligence services say the casualties could exceed 10,000 troops.
