Dominic Raab, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, gave interviews this morning and claimed that Johnson was telling the truth in parliament “as much as he could”. He told Sky News: I do not know the full details of the sentences, but the Prime Minister was telling the House of Commons and the public what he knew to the best of his ability. Asked if Johnson had misled parliament, he replied: No, I do not think there was any intention of misleading. The Prime Minister informed the Parliament in good faith about what he knows. I will post more of Raab interviews soon. I try to watch the comments below the line (BTL) but it is impossible to read them all. If you have a direct question, include “Andrew” in it somewhere and I’m more likely to find it. I’m trying to answer questions and if it is of general interest, I will post the question and answer over the line (ATL), although I can not promise to do it for everyone. If you want to get my attention quickly, it’s probably best to use Twitter. I’m at @AndrewSparrow. Alternatively, you can email me at [email protected]
