In the run-up to its latest season, developer Epic Games has said it will donate all proceeds from the game, including Microsoft, to humanitarian efforts following Russia’s two-week invasion of Ukraine, The Verge reported. The game grossed $ 36 million on its first day alone and now, Epic Games has revealed a final total of $ 144 million. The funds are available to various aid groups, such as Direct Relief, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the United Nations Children’s Fund and the World Food Program. Epic’s efforts are just one of many fundraising initiatives related to Ukraine by game developers. Last month, League of Legends developer Riot Games raised $ 5.4 million, a package of nearly 1,000 games on Itch.io grossed more than $ 6 million, and Humble Bundle raised $ 20 million.
