The humanitarian aid will be delivered to the municipal authorities of the city. Mr. Dendias, 62, also plans to set up an ongoing aid distribution mechanism from Greece and reopen the Greek consulate in the city, the foreign ministry said. Rockets hit Odessa in the early hours of Sunday, the city council said in an online post. Mr Dendias said last month that he planned to lead a humanitarian mission to the besieged city of Mariupol in Ukraine, home to thousands of Greeks, but fierce fighting there meant the destination was later changed to Odessa. At least 10 Greeks have been killed and several others injured since Russia launched an offensive in Mariupol. More than 150 Greek citizens, boat crews and Greek nationals have been evacuated from the area, according to the Greek government.
