Union Secretary-General Sharon Graham announced the shock move, which comes after local authorities suspended Unite deputy Pete Randle during a rally of disgruntled workers at Broadgate today (March 26).  He said: “And now I speak directly to you, Coventry Unite Labor consultants and the head of the council. Today I put you  upon notice, that you  will receive your suspension letters from Unite today. 
“You will no longer be able to hold office at Unite or be part of our structures while we research your own  the behavior.  And rest assured, no hand will catch you  from the money of my members for your elections in May! ”

Why is it not in the negotiations? Why not do the paid job? “Counselor Daggins – you have been elected by the people of Coventry. Stop hiding behind your curtain and enter the room and negotiate. This is your responsibility and this chaos is at your door. “You and I both know that councilors can and should intervene. I’ve been in a lot of negotiations with councilors – some of these Tories! You can resolve this dispute next week, but not until Pete Randle is restored. “ Wage strikes began earlier this year, causing piles of rubbish on the city streets and are expected to run until the summer. The authority’s 70 heavy-duty truck drivers have been on strike since January 31. Unite says the basic salary of employees starts at 22. 22,183 a year, which it claims is much lower than rates in neighboring councils. The council, meanwhile, has accused Unite of repeatedly spreading misinformation.
