Police were called to the area around Quadra Street and Hillside Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Saturday for reports of a battered woman in a van. Witnesses say the truck was driving erratically west on Hillside Avenue, and the woman in the passenger seat was screaming for help, trying to get out of the truck as it moved. The woman involved in the incident is described as a Caucasian woman 28 to 30 years old with an average physique. He had a slender oval face and bleached blond hair down to his shoulders. He was wearing a sweatshirt that was either light pink or white. The van is described as a “newer” white truck with blackened rear windows and no side windows. The rear license plate on the truck was described as in red letters and may be an Alberta license plate. The van did not have a front license plate. The truck is described as similar in appearance to a GMC Savana cargo truck. Witnesses described the driver of the van as a Caucasian man with dark hair.
