One suspect in Chicago shootings and two police police officers were injured the perpetrator tried to nail a police officer between a team car and his vehicle. Police in the 11th arrondissement approached the suspect as they were stopping at the 3,000-block block of W. Polk St., the man allegedly drove his vehicle to a police officer, stuck the officer in a team car, according to Chicago Police Department (CPD). A Chicago police officer was injured in the shooting, while another was injured in the leg when an exchange of gunfire erupted during a traffic jam late Monday, authorities said. SUSPECTED IN DETENTION An unconfirmed video from a Twitter page of a Chicago police scanner appears to show the incident unfolding as the suspect tried to trap the officer between his vehicle and a team car until the collision. Authorities rushed both the police and the suspect to a hospital. One of the officers is being treated for a gunshot wound to the arm and another for a wound to the right leg. Both officers are in “fair” condition and the suspect is also being treated, although his condition is unknown, the CPD said in an incident report.
